Ski holidays in the French ski resort of Montgenevre, located on the border with Italy
Located at over 1800m, Montgenevre offers a snow reliable ski resort with access to the vast Milky Way, the ski area that stretches into Italy. With over 100km of ski pistes and a further 300km in the Milky Way, the ski resources on hand at Montgenevre are impressive, if somewhat disjointed. This is not the case in the ski area directly serving Montgenevre; the village is well laid out for ski-in, ski-out accommodation. The resort offers good value and whilst Montgenevre is not the most beautiful resort in the Alps (and for the record, nor the ugliest) the skiing can be free of crowds and is fairly close to Turin and the Winter Olympics 2006 areas. Montgenevre has the usual resort amenities including a cinema, however après ski is quiet.
