Skiing is also possible in the lift-linked ski area of La Thuile, Italy, with dramatic views of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc on offer. La Rosiere is a restrained ski resort after dark and is especially well suited to families. Together with La Thuile, La Rosiere boasts a respectable 130km of ski pistes, as well as an altitude and location that boasts a good snow record.
