Puy St Vincent, in the Southern Alps and part of the Galaxy ski area

A far cry from many of the purpose-built resorts in the French Alps, Puy St Vincent offers traditional architecture and is set amongst magnificent natural surrounding. The sedate pace of Puy St Vincent well reflects these surroundings. Located in the southern Alps and with a top elevation over 2700m the ski resort of Puy St Vincent offers great skiing for intermediates. There is an equal provision for beginners as well and there is limited but enjoyable terrain for the advanced skier. The resort has access to the ski areas of Montgenevre, Serre Chavalier, Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d-Huez, within the Ski Galaxy area, for those skiers who want to explore further. Puy St Vincent actually consists of 3 domains and accesses a reasonable 65km of ski pistes. The resort is compact and retains a certain charm and tranquillity with a limited number of restaurants and bars. Those looking for wild après ski might well look elsewhere.
