One of the leading ski resorts in France, Les Arcs
Les Arcs, formerly made up of 4 alpine villages is set to consist of 5 with the development of Arc 1950 by Intrawest, the company behind Whistler ski resort (amongst others). Other recent developments include the high speed lift between Les Arcs and La Plagne. Together creating the Paradiski, Les Arcs and La Plagne offer over 400km of ski pistes, dominated by intermediate runs. Advanced skiers are well catered for with plenty of off-piste skiing. Away from the ski slopes, Les Arcs specialises in catering for families and despite the large number of bars and restauarants, Les Arcs lacks the real après ski vibrancy of Val d Isere or Meribel.
